Tuesday, June 7, 2016, is the date for California’s Primary Election. A wide array of issues will be up for consideration, including selection of political party presidential candidates, candidates for the U.S. Senate, as well as many local and state races.

Who you get to vote for depends upon your political party registration. However, if you are a No Party Preference Voter, you have your choice of ballots for either American Independent, Democratic or Libertarian candidates.
In the U.S. Senate Race for retiring Senator Barbara Boxer’s seat, 34 candidates have registered to run. In this primary election, the top two vote recipients will stand for election this November in the General Election.
